Abstract:PurposeThe purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of passive disinfection surface application with quaternary ammonium salt coating textiles in hospitals.MethodThe study was conducted at 4 Grade-A tertiary hospitals. 413 samples were divided into groups: the ordinary textiles and the passive disinfection textiles. The count of bacteria and fungi was calculated by test paper method.ResultsIn hospital A, after use, there were a statistically significant lower amount of bioburden from passive disinfection textiles than ordinary textiles(35/43), which was Z= 6.89, P<0.05; Similar a observed statistically trend of bioburden was found from repeated washing passive disinfection textiles(60/43), which was Z=8.28, P<0.05. In hospital D, after the textiles usage, accounting the bacterial colonization on passive disinfection hospital textiles/the ordinary hospital textiles(22/20), it was shown a noticeably significance difference Z=4.67, P<0.05. It was not statistically significant because of low rate of fungal detection in the two textiles.ConclusionA dramatic reduction in bacteria was seen on the surface of the passive disinfection textiles compared to the ordinary textiles.

Abstract:The risk of infection associated with duodenoscopy is gradually attracting social attention. At present, the quality of cleaning and disinfection or sterilization cannot be guaranteed even if the reprocessing is carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It is necessary for the manufacturer and the user to work together to improve the structural design and the reprocessing specifications, and take measures to minimize the risk. The purpose of this review is to clarify the current situation of duodenoscopy contamination at home and abroad, find the causes of the problem, and put forward the current feasible scheme in the world, in order to improve the qualified rate of duodenoscopy reprocessing and reduce the risk of patient infection.

Abstract:ObjectiveBased on decision theory, this study explores the management model of manpower support for independent disinfection supply centers in different hospital areas.MethodsIn the event of a sudden shortage of manpower resources in Hospital A, the mode of deploying disinfection supply center staff from Hospital B to support Hospital A was implemented, adopting a multidisciplinary collaborative model to complete the job setting and management of the supported manpower resources, ensuring the normal operation of the disinfection supply center in Hospital A.ResultsThe disposal of reusable devices, equipment operation, and information traceability in Hospital B were all normal, and surgeries and clinical diagnosis and treatment were carried out as usual. The job setting of personnel was satisfactory.ConclusionBased on decision theory, the management model of manpower support for independent disinfection supply centers in different hospital areas can ensure the timely and quality completion of the disposal of reusable devices, guarantee the supply of clinical frontlines, and reflect the emergency response capabilities of disinfection supply centers.

Abstract:ObjectiveThis paper discusses the application effect of the whole process intelligent information management system in the management of external instruments in the CSSD.MethodsOur hospital's disinfection supply center adopted a full process intelligent information quality traceability system from December 2021 to May 2022. We compared with the manual and information management mode adopted from December 2020 to May 2021and analyzed the management quality of external medical devices before and after the implementation of full process intelligent information management.ResultsThe on-time delivery rate, the qualified rate of cleaning quality and the return rate of the external instrument after the implementation were higher than those before the implementation, and the differences were all statistically significant. (P<0.05) The rate of early release, the rate of missing instruments and the rate of postoperative infection were significantly lower than those before operation (PC.05) The duration of emergency treatment was shorter after the treatment than that before the treatment (P<0.05).ConclusionThe application of whole-process intelligent information management can effectively improve the management quality of external instruments, ensure the safety of external instruments supply, and reduce the waiting time of patients and the incidence of postoperative infection. It ensures the medical safety and medical quality, and ensures the safety of patients.
