摘要

Abstract

Purpose

To quantitatively analyze the effect of starting the pressure steam sterilizer in different startup conditions on BD test results

and to provide operational suggestions for medical units.

Methods

When the jacket pressure of the pressure steam sterilizer reached the set value before daily sterilization

the BD test program was directly run and set as the control group. When the jacket pressure of the pressure steam sterilizer reached the set value before daily sterilization

the "no-load preheating" program was first run

followed by the BD test program

and set as the experimental group. In the two groups of the sterilization process

13 sterilization PCDs with increasing difficulty of steam penetration

plus five kinds of chemical indicators and BD test package were placed. After sterilization

record the value of the most difficult PCD and the qualification of the BD test package.

Results

The average value of the most difficult PCD passed by the control group was 4.24

and the average value of the most difficult PCD passed by the experimental group was 8.32. The qualified rate of BD in the control group was 89%

and that in the experimental group was 100%; P<0.05

with statistical significance.

Conclusion

Preheating without load can improve the sterilization performance of pressure steam sterilizer before BD test every day.
