The usage of medical consumables has been growing at an astonishing rate every year as modern medical science and technology advance by leaps and bounds. Thus patients

authorities at all levels

and the government have paid high attention to the quality

and efficiency of medical consumables. To improve healthcare quality and ensure medical safety

hospital administrators in China have revised the

Medical Consumables Standardized Management Operation Manual for Medical Institutions (Trial)

and renamed it the

Medical Consumables Management Manual of Medical Institutions

. In this document

relevant laws and regulations

policies

documents

basic information

and management experience of some medical institutions on standardized management of medical consumables are summarized so that relevant professionals can find solutions and countermeasures to problems encountered in the management of medical consumables timely and accurately within a limited period.
